El ministro de Inversiones y secretario ejecutivo del Consejo Nacional de Inversiones (CNI), Miguel Medina, sostuvo una reuni\u00f3n de alto nivel con ejecutivos de la empresa hondure\u00f1a Lacthosa, con el objetivo de formalizar el acompa\u00f1amiento institucional en el proceso de construcci\u00f3n de su nueva planta procesadora de leche en San Pedro Sula, una inversi\u00f3n estimada en 150 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>

Durante la jornada, que tuvo lugar en las instalaciones de la empresa, se abordaron aspectos clave del proyecto, el cual busca sustituir la planta actual \u2014con m\u00e1s de 70 a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad\u2014 por una infraestructura moderna, eficiente y alineada con los est\u00e1ndares internacionales de inocuidad, sostenibilidad e innovaci\u00f3n agroindustrial.<\/p>

\u201cEste proyecto ya est\u00e1 generando empleos para el pueblo hondure\u00f1o y potenciar\u00e1 el posicionamiento de nuestros productos en mercados internacionales\u201d, declar\u00f3 el ministro Miguel Medina, quien reafirm\u00f3 el compromiso del CNI en brindar todo el apoyo t\u00e9cnico, legal e interinstitucional necesario para agilizar su ejecuci\u00f3n.<\/p>

En representaci\u00f3n de Lacthosa estuvieron presentes el director general Ing. Carlos Herrera y miembros de su equipo directivo y t\u00e9cnico.<\/p>

Dentro de las competencias del CNI es brindar asesor\u00eda gratuita y acompa\u00f1amiento t\u00e9cnico-legal a inversionistas, desde la planificaci\u00f3n hasta la implementaci\u00f3n de sus proyectos.\u00a0<\/p>

En el caso de Lacthosa, el CNI actuar\u00e1 como interlocutor clave ante instituciones como la Secretar\u00eda de Agricultura y Ganader\u00eda (SAG), la Secretar\u00eda de Finanzas (SEFIN) y la Secretar\u00eda de Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico (SDE) , facilitando gestiones administrativas, vinculaciones estrat\u00e9gicas y el aprovechamiento de incentivos.<\/p>

Esta relaci\u00f3n se enmarca en la Ruta del Inversionista, estrategia del CNI que busca generar confianza, acelerar procesos y crear condiciones favorables para el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico de Honduras, en l\u00ednea con el Plan de Fomento a la Inversi\u00f3n.<\/p>

Lacthosa es actualmente la empresa l\u00edder del sector l\u00e1cteo en Honduras. Genera m\u00e1s de 3,000 empleos directos, trabaja con alrededor de 2,600 ganaderos y 2,000 citricultores, y mantiene una red de distribuci\u00f3n con m\u00e1s de 54,000 clientes, lo que se traduce en cerca de 60,000 empleos indirectos.<\/p>

Sus productos, especialmente bajo la marca Sula, se exportan a pa\u00edses como El Salvador, Guatemala, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana y Estados Unidos, representando el 70\u202f% de las exportaciones hondure\u00f1as de l\u00e1cteos y derivados.<\/p>

La nueva planta incluir\u00e1 un complejo de tratamiento de agua que permitir\u00e1 el re\u00faso en procesos agr\u00edcolas e industriales, reforzando su enfoque en sostenibilidad.<\/p>
